Application procedures
for residencies and exhibitions

Artists are chosen for residencies in one of two ways:

1] Invitation by curatorial panel

Artists from Ireland and abroad are invited by the curatorial panel for residencies, with a view to developing exhibitions, projects or publications in Cobh and Cork County.

2] Artists may submit an application independently

to be considered for a residency or an exhibition at Sirius.

Application requirements

• An up-to-date CV with your past exhibition information;
• 10 Images of your work (CD's, DVD's or small prints can be accepted) or other appropriate samples. When sending CD's & DVD's, please make sure that your files can be viewed on both PC and/or MAC formats);
• A self-addressed stamped envelope with sufficient postage to return your work to you (If you don't send us return postage we will not return your work);
• A written proposal which clearly states the following:
  1. What you hope to achieve during your residency,
  2. The length of residency you're interested in and preferred time of year.
  3. Any interests you may have on developing an exhibition or project with Sirius.
  4. Does your work have any pertinent links to Ireland or Cobh that the curatorial panel should be aware of?
  5. Have you an interest in linking with the local community during your stay?

All applications will be judged by the curatorial panel and the applicant will be notified as soon as possible (please be sure to send a self addressed stamped envelope so that we can return your work to you promptly after final decisions are made).
